The L.A. Dodgers once led the NL West by eight games. That lead is down to one game, after consecutive shut-out losses to start a series in San Francisco.
Wednesday Baseball Moneylines: Yankees, White Sox Biggest Chalk

LA got blanked, 8-0, Monday night and, as -115 favorites with Clayton Kershaw throwing, 2-0 Tuesday night.
So the Giants have pulled to within one game of the Dodgers in the NL West, and will go for the sweep and the first-place tie Wednesday afternoon. Tim Lincecum and San Francisco are listed as –130 favorites over Chad Billingsley and LA.
Also Tuesday the Cubs beat the Mets for the second day in a row as home dogs, cashing in at +115 with a 5-3 victory.
But those were the only two underdogs on the MLB betting board to win Tuesday; favorites won 13 of the 15 games played.
Over on that chalky side of the board, CJ Wilson and the Angels, at -150, won in Baltimore, 7-3; Phil Hughes and the Yankees, also at -150, beat Justin Masterson and the Indians, 6-4; Dice-K and the Red Sox, also at -150, beat the Blue Jays, 5-1; and Yu Darvish and the Rangers, at -185, topped the Tigers, 7-5.
For the day the favorites made a profit of $1,060, based on theoretical $100 wagers.
The White Sox and Yankees are the biggest favorites Wednesday, and Chicago is getting nearly two-thirds of the wagering action according to the MLB consensus numbers at OddsShark.com.
As for Wednesday, in some of the more interesting baseball betting action, the Cubs go for a sweep with Jeff Samardzija getting +105 from Jon Niese and the Mets; Tommy Hanson and the Braves are -130 favorites over Trevor Cahill and the D-Backs; Andy Pettitte and the Yanks are -190 chalk over Ubaldo Jimenez and the Indians; Jered Weaver and the Angels are -135 faves at the Orioles with Jason Hammel; and Roy Oswalt and the Rangers are -155 favorites over Doug Fister and the Tigers.
