Boston Red Sox pitcher Vicente Padilla and New York Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira have been engaged in a war of words over the weekend, in what basically amounts to a couple of babies crying at each other with poopy pants. The feud is getting a little heated on Padilla's end, however, as on Sunday the reliever made some groan-inducing accusations.

It all started with Teixeira hitting a go-ahead triple off of Padilla on Friday. After that game, Teixeira accused Padilla of throwing at people and basically called him bush league.
ESPN reports that Padilla gave a Spanish-language interview on Sunday and made the most hackneyed comeback ever, relying on sexism and casual misogyny to get his point across.
“In this sport, as competitive ball players, we get pretty fired up,” Padilla said, according to NESN. “So I think, maybe, [Teixeira] picked the wrong profession. I think he’d be better off playing a women’s sport.”
Padilla didn't stop there, however. For his next number, Padilla made some accusations that Teixeira was a racist, based on their time playing together for the Texas Rangers.
"The problem is he talks about all the wrong things that others have done, but the things he's done -- against the Latinos [on the Rangers] -- he doesn't open his mouth about," Padilla told NESN. "He once threatened me and said he was going to hit me with a bat, and that's when we were playing on the same team.
"And then, he also had problems with Frank Francisco, our closer back then. But he doesn't talk about that, does he? Then, of course, he goes on and makes those comments about me."
At this point, both guys should probably just opt for shutting the hell up. I mean, this isn’t exactly Jay-Z vs. Nas here. Quit whining and grow up, guys. We don’t need more reasons for the sports channels to talk about the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry.
