The Yanks, who lead the season series with the O's six games to five, are listed as -200 favorites for Friday night's game.
"The overall action for tonight will gravitate towards the bigger name series, with New York and Baltimore seeing lots of action, but interestingly so is Texas and Cleveland," said Scott Winstone of Top Bet. "However, bettors will probably transition some of their action to football now that its starting up with a busy slate of college football odds today."
The White Sox lead the Tigers by three games in the AL Central. And guess who visits Comerica Park for three games this weekend?
Chicago, which just dropped three of four to the Orioles, will send Jake Peavy to the mound Friday, Francisco Liriano Saturday and Chris Sale Sunday, while Detroit will go with Doug Fister, Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander.
The Tigers, who lead the season series with the ChiSox seven games to four, are listed as -140 favorites for Friday night's game.
And in Washington the Nationals, who lead the NL East by 5.5 games, continue a four-game series with the Cardinals, owners of one of the two National League Wild-Card spots. The Nats took the opener of this series Thursday night 8-1.
For Friday's game Washington with Gio Gonzalez is listed as a -110 favorite over St. Louis with Adam Wainwright.
