Texas Rangers General Manager Jon Daniels says there is "not a question" that Manager Ron Washington will return to the role in 2014, reports Jon Morosi of Fox Sports.
Rangers GM: “Not a question” that Ron Washington will return as manager
Washington is signed through the 2014 season and will at least finish out his remaining contract.

The Rangers signed Washington to a contract extension to keep him in Texas through 2014 and will bring him back at least for that remaining season.
Washington has been manager in Texas since the 2007 season, leading the team to five winnings seasons. The Rangers made the postseason three consecutive years from 2010-2012 and lost the World Series twice in that span.
Texas fell just short of a fourth consecutive playoff appearance after a 5-2 loss to the Rays in game 163 on Monday prevented them from winning the American League's second Wild Card spot. The decision to play Nelson Cruz, who was coming off a 50-game suspension, was heavily discussed after he went 0-4 with a strikeout.
Washington’s time in Washington has been mostly successful, but some have questioned his decision making abilities.
Overall, Washington has a 611-524 record as manager of the Rangers.
