Major League Baseball has released the schedule for both League Championship Series, the first of which will kick off this Friday in St. Louis. Both series will be in the 2-3-2 format, meaning there will be off-days after the second and fifth games so the squads can travel.

Now that the Cardinals are through the division series, the schedules for the ALCS and NLCS have been released.


Before the Cardinals' deciding victory over the Pirates on Wednesday, there was still a 50/50 chance that the NLCS would begin in Los Angeles. That's not the case for the AL side of things. Though the Tigers and Athletics still have their deciding Game 5 left to settle, the Boston Red Sox will have home-field advantage in either scenario.
As they are best-of-seven series, everything after Game 4 carries the “if necessary” caveat:
