NLCS Game 1, Dodgers vs. Cardinals score update: Los Angeles, St. Louis still in 2-2 tie
Bunting and good defense killed the only real attempt at a rally we’ve seen in quite a while.
Neither team has done much of anything on offense since the third inning, during which all four of the game's runs were scored. The latest attempt at a threat was put together by the Cardinals in the seventh inning, when Yadier Molina led off with a single. However, Molina was thrown out at second while trying to advance on Jon Jay's bunt, and Jay was later gunned down at first on the back-half of a double play turned by Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig.
Zack Greinke was still on the mound through the eighth inning, and he's tallied 10 strikeouts while surrendering only four hits and a walk. Cardinals starter Joe Kelly exited after six innings of six-hit ball. He walked two and struck out five.
