NLCS 2013: Dodgers and Cardinals announce lineups for Game 2 - Hanley scratched

Andre Ethier and Hanley Ramirez are out of the Dodgers lineup on Friday.

The St. Louis Cardinals managed to take Game 1 of the best-of-seven National League Championship Series thanks to late-inning heroics from Carlos Beltran.

Saturday is a new day, however, and the Cardinals and Dodgers have posted their lineups for Game 2.

The Cardinals will be putting out the same defensive eight as in Game 1, but with an adjusted batting order. Matt Carpenter, Beltran and Matt Holliday remain atop the lineup, but Yadier Molina is now hitting clean-up with David Freese in the five-spot. The two hit fifth and seventh on Friday, respectively. Matt Adams and Jon Jay each moved down in the order.

The Dodgers have two big changes to their lineup: Andre Ethier will rest his injured foot following his first appearance in the playoffs, and Hanley Ramirez was a last-minute scratch due to bruised ribs. Ramirez sustained the injury when he was hit by a pitch in Game 1. Skip Schumaker will take over in center field, and Nick Punto will start at short.

First pitch between the two sides is scheduled for 4:07 pm EST Saturday.
