Cardinals vs. Dodgers, 2013 NLCS Game 3: Time, TV schedule, starting pitchers and more
One more loss will put the Dodgers on the brink of elimination.
Hyun-Jin Ryu will take the mound in hopes of delivering Los Angeles their first win of the series. Ryu made one start in the NLDS, allowing four runs on six hits and a walk while pitching just three innings. He was excellent in the regular season, however, posting a 3.00 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in 30 starts after the Dodgers signed him out of Korea.
Ryu will have the unenviable task of facing Adam Wainwright, who was outstanding in the team's NLDS series against the Pirates. Wainwright made two starts, allowing two runs over 16 innings with a 0.75 WHIP. The second of those starts came in the deciding Game 5, when Wainwright threw a complete game as the Cardinals took a spot in the Championship Series.
Wainwright finished the regular season having led the league in starts, innings pitched, and complete games. He had a 2.94 ERA, a 1.07 WHIP and struck out a career-high 219 batters.
First pitch Monday is scheduled for 8:07 pm EST and will be aired live on TBS.
