Yasiel Puig is doing his thing in Game 3 of the NLCS, and the results are as beautiful as you’d imagine:
Yasiel Puig’s perfect bat flip make an appearance
The Dodgers had three extra-base hits off of Adam Wainwright in the fourth inning.
Puig did not stop pimping the not-home run until he began to round first base but still wound up at third standing up due to a combination of his speed and the ball caroming away from Beltran.
It was good for a 2-0 lead for the Dodgers.
Mark Ellis led off the fourth inning with a double into the right-center field gap off of Cardinals starter Adam Wainwright. That set the stage for Adrian Gonzalez, who hit a soft liner to right for a double, plating Ellis. Two batters later, Puig hit an opposite-field fly ball over the head of Carlos Beltran to score Gonzalez. Puig cruised into third with a triple, although he clearly thought he had more than that off the bat.
Dodgers starter Hyun-jin Ryu has tossed four scoreless innings, allowing only a walk to Beltran in the first, and has struck out three batters.
Wainwright has surrendered a pair of runs on four hits while notching four punch-outs.
