Cardinals vs. Dodgers, 2013 NLCS Game 4: Time, TV schedule, starting pitchers and more

Game 4 of the NLCS marks the first contest in the series in which no ace-level pitchers will be on the mound to start the game. Tune in anyway!

The Los Angeles Dodgers will try to pull even with the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Championship Series on Tuesday when Ricky Nolasco takes the ball for the first time this postseason in Game 4. Coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on TBS.

Nolasco was scratched in his last scheduled start, which was supposed to come in Game 4 of the NLDS against the Atlanta Braves. Dodgers manager Don Mattingly instead went with Clayton Kershaw, who allowed a pair of runs in six innings in a game that Los Angeles won in the eighth.

Nolasco arrived in a trade with the Miami Marlins in July. The 30-year-old right-hander went 8-3 with a 3.52 ERA in 16 apperances with the Dodgers. However, he struggled in his last three starts, surrendering 17 earned runs in 12 innings of work.

Lance Lynn has been tabbed by the Cardinals to oppose Nolasco. Lynn's first start of the 2013 postseason didn't go well. He was battered for five runs on seven hits in 4⅓ innings in a loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Oct. 4. Lynn has already made an appearance in this series, tossing two scoreless frames in the Cardinals' extra-innings win in Game 1.

First pitch is slated for 8:07 p.m. ET. Ernie Johnson, Ron Darling and Cal Ripken will provide the play-by-play and commentary.
