The Dodgers were posing a threat to the Cardinals one-run lead in the bottom of the sixth inning with runners on first and second and one out. So the Cardinals brought in Seth Maness to relieve Lance Lynn and, on just his third pitch, Maness got a grounder that led to an inning-ending double-play.
