Nick Punto could have been a hero, tagging Cardinals reliever Carlos Martinez for a one-out double in the bottom of the seventh inning. "Could have" is the operative phrase here. With the Dodgers down by a deuce, Punto took a large lead off of second base, and Martinez... well... we'll let the GIF tell the story:
