Dodgers vs. Cardinals NLCS Game 5 starting lineups
The Cardinals could be the first team to earn a World Series berth in 2013 with a win Wednesday.
The Dodgers will employ the exact same lineup as in Game 4. That means both Andre Ethier and Hanley Ramirez are starting despite lingering injuries. Ramirez is the big one as he was removed from Tuesday's game in the later innings after going 0-3 while suffering through the pain of a fractured rib. According to Ramirez, team trainers wanted him to come out even earlier. With the Dodgers' season on the line, he will continue to play through the injury.
Here is the full Dodgers’ lineup as the team announced via Twitter:
Carl Crawford LF
Mark Ellis 2B
Hanley Ramirez SS
Adrian Gonzalez 1B
Andre Ethier CF
Yasiel Puig RF
Juan Uribe 3B
A.J. Ellis C
Zack Greinke P
The Cardinals are making just one change to their lineup, replacing Daniel Descalso and playing Pete Kozma at shortstop. Kozma has been the team's primary starter throughout the playoffs, but received a break in Game 4. He came on later as a defensive replacement, however.
