Red Sox vs. Cardinals, 2013 World Series Game 5: Time, TV schedule, pitchers and more

Game 5 of the World Series features a pitching rematch from Game 1. Find out when and where to tune in to the pivotal contest.

The Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals will square off in a pivotal Game 5 of the 2013 World Series on Monday at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on Fox.

The game features the pitching rematch from Game 1, in which Red Sox starter Jon Lester got the best of Cardinals ace Adam Wainwright. Lester cruised through 7 ⅔ scoreless innings, allowing only five hits while striking out eight. Wainwright was roughed up for five runs in the first two innings, though only three were earned, and was saddled with his second loss of the postseason.

The last time the Cardinals played in a World Series Game 5, they lost. That was in 2011 against the Texas Rangers in a series St. Louis wound up winning.

Boston hasn't played in a World Series Game 5 since 1986. The Red Sox topped the New York Mets to take a 3-2 lead in a series they eventually lost.

Joe Buck and Tim McCarver will be in the broadcast booth for first pitch, which is slated for 8:07 p.m. ET.
