2013 ALDS schedule: Red Sox vs. Rays

Tampa Bay continues its improbable road trip with the first two games of the ALDS in Boston this weekend.

Jim Rogash

The Tampa Bay Rays and Boston Red Sox will face off in the 2013 American League Division Series in their first postseason meeting since 2008.

The upstart Rays knocked off the defending-champion Red Sox in the AL Championship Series that year before falling to the Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series. This time around, the Rays are no strangers to the postseason, making their third trip since Boston's last playoff appearance in 2009.

The Rays’ ninth and 10th consecutive road games will take place on Friday and Saturday at Fenway Park. By the time they return home on Monday, Tampa Bay will have competed in five different cities over a 12-day span.

Boston hasn't played since finishing the regular season with a 7-6 loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Sept. 29.

TBS will provide television coverage of the entire series. Brian Anderson, John Smoltz, Joe Simpson and Rachel Nichols will handle broadcasting duties.
