Brian McCann says that he feels good and is ready to play after five days of rest for a strained groin injury, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Brian McCann injury: Braves catcher ready to play vs. Dodgers
McCann left the Braves game Sept. 26 with a groin strain, but says he feels healthy after some time off.

“I feel great,” McCann told reporters Wednesday. “I probably could have played that last game but at the same time, you get another couple days off to let that thing heal.”
McCann has been one of the Braves best hitters in 2013, posting a 796 OPS and slugging 20 home runs over 102 games. However, he has been mired in a slump for the past month with a .170/.290.264 line through September. Atlanta hopes that having nearly a week off will help get him back on track.
The Braves will open their National League Divisional Series against the Dodgers Thursday night with first pitch scheduled for 8:30 PM EST.
