Cardinals injury roundup: Allen Craig unlikely to play in postseason
Though Craig’s news is not encouraging, the Cardinals can take some solace in Matt Holliday feeling good.

Cardinals first baseman Allen Craig is not on the team's roster for the National League Divisional Series. GM John Mozeliak does not sound optimistic about a return in the playoffs for Craig, reports Tim McKernan of CBS Sports Radio.
Mozeliak says that while it is possible Craig could play, there is not a high probability of him doing so.
Craig is suffering from a Lisfranc injury in his left foot that already caused him to miss most of the final month of the regular season. Matt Adams has been playing first base in Craig's absence and will continue to do so as the Cardinals take on the Pirates.
Craig hit .315 with an 830 OPS over the regular season. He was also named to his first All Star team.
Holliday feeling good
Outfielder Matt Holliday says that his oblique injury and back soreness have disappeared and that he is feeling good as the Cardinals begin postseason play, reports MLB Network Radio.
Holliday missed a few days late in September to the injury, including the final game of the regular season as the team hoped to give him some rest. A four-day rest appears to have done him some good.
With Craig’s bat out of the lineup, Holliday becomes even more important to St. Louis. The 33-year-old hit .300/.389/.490 over 141 regular season games with 22 home runs.
