Tigers vs. Athletics, 2013 ALDS Game 1: Time, TV schedule, starting pitchers and more
On Friday, the AL Central Champion Tigers head West to Oakland to take on the Athletics in a rematch of the 2012 ALDS.

At 21-3 Scherzer led all of baseball in wins and posted the best winning percentage since Cliff Lee went 22-3 in 2008. His 2.90 ERA was fifth best in the American League as well.
Scherzer’s opponent was third in the AL in ERA, as Bartolo Colon’s 2.75 mark this season is the best for any 40-year-old since Randy Johnson’s 2.60 in 2004 and the 12th best for a player at least that age in the game’s history. Both pitchers will have their work cut out for them. The Tigers’ offense finished second in runs scored this season and the Athletics ranked third.
The Athletics beat the Tigers in four of their seven meetings this season, but lost two of three games in Oakland from Apr. 12-14.
The game will be televised nationally on TBS and broadcast on the radio in Detroit on 97.1 The Ticket and ESPN Radio 105.1; and in Oakland on 95.7 FM The Game, ESPN Radio 95.7 and KIQI 1010.
