Many times over the years, members of the Detroit Tigers' rotation have had to follow in Justin Verlander's footsteps. However, on Saturday, Verlander will be the one having to back up a dominant display of pitching.
Tigers vs. Athletics, 2013 ALDS Game 2: Time, TV schedule, starting pitchers and more
Can Justin Verlander match Max Scherzer’s impressive pitching performance in Game 1? Tune in to find out.

Verlander will be on the hill as the Tigers look to jump out to a 2-0 lead in the American League Division Series against the Oakland Athletics on Saturday at 9 p.m. ET on TBS and Postseason.tv. He might not have to rack up 11 strikeouts in seven innings of work like teammate Max Scherzer did on Friday, but he'll have to be sharp to avoid the wrath of Yoenis Cespedes, who tripled and homered in the Athletics' Game 1 loss.
Rookie hurler Sonny Gray is slated to start for the A's. Gray finished 5-3 with a 2.67 ERA during the regular season but has yet to face the Tigers in his MLB career.
