The Los Angeles Dodgers watched starting pitcher Hyun-Jin Ryu closely as he threw a bullpen session Friday, but still have him listed as their starter for Game 3 of the NLDS against the Braves on Sunday, reports MLB.com.

Ryu has been wearing a compression sleeve on his arm, but downplayed any sort of injury.

Ryu has been working out with a compression sleeve on his elbow for the past week, leading to speculation that he has been working through soreness. He does not normally throw bullpen sessions between starts, and it’s even more rare for him to do so just two days before his next outing.
When asked by reporters, Ryu said that his arm was “fine” and that the compression sleeve was just being used to help keep his arm loose.
Ryu, 26, tossed 192 innings in his rookie season. He had not thrown that many innings since 2007 when he pitched 211 innings while in Korea. Ryu posted a 3.00 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in 2013 after the Dodgers signed him to a six year deal worth $36 million.
