The Baltimore Orioles will not re-sign reliever Francisco Rodriguez after he spent half a season with the team following a trade from Milwaukee, according to a report from CSN Baltimore.
Orioles rumors: Francisco Rodriguez will not return to Baltimore
Rodriguez didn’t fit in with the Orioles after being traded to Baltimore mid-season.

Rodriguez turned out to be a poor fit for Baltimore and manager Buck Showalter rarely put Rodriguez in close games, perhaps not trusting him after allowing four home runs in his first four innings with the team.
Rodriguez was reportedly often the last player to show up to games and the first person to exit the clubhouse after. He posted a 4.50 ERA with the Orioles following the trade, though he struck out 28 batters to just five walks over 22 innings.
The Orioles paid a decent price for Rodriguez, sending third baseman Nick Delmonico to the Brewers. The 21-year-old hit for a .769 OPS in High-A and is fairly well regarded among scouts, ranking fourth among Orioles prospects entering 2013.
