The Chicago White Sox are expected to pursue free agent outfielder Curtis Granderson during the offseason, a source told Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times.
White Sox interested in Curtis Granderson
Granderson grew up in the Chicago metro area, but has expressed interest in returning to the Yankees next season.

Granderson is coming off an injury-riddled 2013 campaign; he played only played in 61 games after missing time with a broken right forearm and left pinkie. The outfielder had a disappointing season when he healthy, batting .229/.317/.407 with 7 home runs.
The White Sox are in desperate need of offense after scoring the second-fewest runs in MLB during the regular season. Granderson posted back-to-back 40-HR seasons for New York in 2011 and 2012, and Chicago appears to be willing to gamble on a bounce-back campaign.
Granderson grew up in a suburb south Chicago, and played college baseball at University of Illinois-Chicago. The campus is three miles from U.S. Cellular Field, and the school recently opened a new baseball facility donated by Granderson. The 32-year-old, however, has expressed interest in returning to the Yankees next season.
