The Oakland Athletics broke through against Anibal Sanchez in the third inning, scoring the first run of the game on a Miguel Cabrera error.
Athletics score first on Miguel Cabrera error
Coco Crisp led off the inning with a single, the third straight inning the Athletics put their leadoff hitter on base. Josh Donaldson followed with walk, but Sanchez struck out the next two hitters, nearly escaping the inning.
Yoenis Cespedes then hit a groundball at Cabrera, who misplayed the ball and booted it into left field, allowing Crisp to score from second.
Dave Cameron of Fangraphs quickly diagnosed the situation, offering his coaching advice:
Move your feet, Miguel.
