The Oakland Athletics made decisions regarding their four players with club options for 2014; Brett Anderson and Coco Crisp will have their options exercised, while the club declined the options for Kurt Suzuki and Chris Young, the team announced Monday.

Crisp is expected to return to the Oakland lineup in 2014, while Anderson may be traded during the offseason.

Crisp had a productive 2013 campaign, batting .261/.335/.444 as the team’s primary leadoff hitter and center fielder. Anderson battled numerous injury issues, only making five starts before shifting to the bullpen during the final month of the season. Oakland will pay Crisp $7.5 million in 2013, while Anderson is due $8 million.

Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reported in October that Oakland may move Anderson during the offseason. The Toronto Blue Jays have reportedly been interesting in acquiring the oft-injured starter.
The Athletics re-acquired Suzuki from the Washington Nationals in August. The Athletics will pay the catcher a $650,000 buyout instead of his $8.5 million option. Young came over in a trade with the Arizona Diamondbacks during the previous offseason but struggled at the plate, batting .200/.280/.379. Young is due $1.5 million since Oakland declined his $11 million option.
