Miguel Cabrera was named the AL Most Valuable Player for the second year running on Thursday, surprising just about no one. That doesn't mean there wasn't a whole host of anger and snarky comments from the Mike Trout supporters of the Internet world...
American League 2013 MVP: Trout supporters unhappy with Cabrera win
TROUTRAGE!!!

Allow us to reel you in to another Trout/Cabrera yelling match, with most of the punches thrown at the Baseball Writers Association of America.
Some writers were rather calm about their unhappiness at the outcome:
Well, at least Trout finished second.

Miggy WAS better this year. Better than Miggy LAST year. But not better than Trout in either.

I prefer my MVP to come from a contender, but I wasn't going to penalize Trout for Moreno's failings with #Angels. Trout most value, period.

Some others... not so much:
The BBWAA has failed its annual intelligence test. Again.

I look forward to BBWAA voters explaining how Miguel Cabrera's Sept didn't matter, lalalamajesticpresencewilltowinblahblahblah. Banana oil.

Others were quick to point out that one guy -- there’s always that one guy -- who almost left one of the favorites off the ballot completely:
Somehow Mike Trout got a seventh-place vote for MVP. Seventh, as in someone thought there were six better players than him in the AL.
— Jeff Passan (@JeffPassan) November 14, 2013
But, of course, not everyone thinks the BBWAA voted for the wrong guy:
We obviously think the BBWAA got this right -- again!
