The Boston Red Sox championship parade is set for 10 a.m. ET on Saturday. "Millions of people" are expected to join the party, according to MLB.com's Ian Browne. It will stretch from Fenway Park to the Charles River near the Museum of Science.

MLB Network will have TV coverage of the festivities, while RedSox.com and MLB.com will carry a live stream of the event, beginning at 9 a.m. ET.

The Sox have three championships in the last 10 years, but this one was a little more special. The team clinched the title in front of its home fans for the first time since 1918 and did it a season after finishing in last place in the American League East.

Red Sox president and CEO Larry Lucchino described the importance of the rebound to Browne:

“The bloom was off the rose, shall we say, after that 13-month period, September of ‘11 all the way through ‘12. The bloom was off the rose and we had to reboot and reconnect with our fan base. I think we were successful at doing that, acknowledging the problems we had and making sure they knew how much we wanted to win and how hard we would work to win.”
