The Seattle Mariners have narrowed their list of managerial candidates to four but have not completely ruled out two others, reports Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal.

Detroit Tigers hitting coach Lloyd McClendon is the only name on the list with previous managing experience at the big-league level. Oakland Athletics bench coach Chip Hale, Los Angeles Dodgers third base coach Tim Wallach and former Mariners infielder Joey Cora are the other three finalists.
McClendon previously managed in the majors for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 2001 to 2005, leading the team to a 336-446 record in that span. Cora served as interim manager of the Miami Marlins in 2012 while Ozzie Guillen was serving a five-game suspension. The Marlins went 2-3 in that stretch.
The Mariners are considering a second interview with San Diego Padres bench coach Rick Renteria and haven't crossed former MLB catcher Dave Valle off of their list.
Seattle finished the 2013 season with a 71-91 record and never won more than 75 games in three seasons under former manager Eric Wedge.
