MLB announces 2013 finalists for MVP, Cy Young, Rookie of the Year awards

The BBWAA has revealed the top three vote-getters for each of its coveted regular-season awards.

US PRESSWIRE

The 2013 finalists for Major League Baseball and the BBWAA’s biggest regular season awards -- Most Valuable Player, Cy Young, and Rookie of the Year -- have been announced. Manager of the Year finalists were also released.

Marquee names like Miguel Cabrera and Clayton Kershaw headline the list, but there's also a surprise or two among the finalists. A Mariners right-hander has made the top three for the AL Cy Young award, but it's not the one you'd expect. There's also a St. Louis Cardinal among the NL MVP finalists, but it's not Matt Carpenter.

The winners of each award will be announced on MLB Network one-by-one next week, starting with Rookie of the Year on Monday, Nov. 11. Managers of the Year will be announced on Nov. 12, followed by Cy Young winners on Nov. 13 and MVPs on Nov. 14
