MLB news roundup: Twins top prospect Byron Buxton injured in Arizona Fall League, more
While the Twins were trying to address immediate team needs on Wednesday, a big part of their future received some troubling news.

Buxton, who was the top prospect in baseball entering the 2013 season according to John Sickels of Minor League Ball, was held out of the lineup on Wednesday, but his injury isn't considered serious, says Manuel. Buxton is hitting .212/.288/.404 with three home runs in 52 plate appearances for the Glendale Desert Dogs, who are comprised of minor-leaguers from the Twins, Dodgers, Marlins, Reds and White Sox organizations.
The 19-year-old native of Georgia was drafted with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 MLB First-Year Player Draft. After hitting .248/.344/.448 in his pro debut, Buxton exploded with a .334/.424/.520 line across two minor-league stops in 2013.
