The Giants have delayed their announcement of the Michael Morse signing on Monday in an attempt to find a trade partner interested in 28-year-old outfielder/first baseman Brett Pill, according to Andrew Braggerly of CSNBayarea.com San Francisco needs to clear space on the roster for Morse and they are hoping to deal the player that most closely resembles their newly-signed slugger.

Across the bay, the Athletics got to see one vision for a new Oakland home. Even though much of the talk from owner Lew Wolff has focused on San Jose, there are powerful forces hoping to keep the team in their current town and they aren't afraid to use 3-D architectural renderings to make their point.

Matt Albers is the latest piece in the Astros climb towards respectability. Houston signed the reliever out of nearby Sugarland, Texas to a $2.25 million deal for 2014 with a $3 million option for 2015.

The Indians have taken on another arm reclamation project. Cleveland has signed former-Mets starter Shaun Marcum to a minor-league deal, according to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York. The 32-year-old righty was plagued by arm injuries last season with New York and posted a 5.29 ERA over 78 1/3 innings.
