A first-class ticket to the final round is on the line Thursday as Team USA and the Dominican Republic face off in Pool 2.
Dominican Republic vs. USA: TV schedule and preview for World Baseball Classic
David Wright and Team USA will try for their second straight WBC semi-final appearance Thursday against the Dominican Republic.

The US will send reigning NL Cy Young winner R.A. Dickey back out to the mound Thursday evening with the hopes that he can atone for his underwhelming performance against Mexico last week. Dickey will have his work cut out for him against a powerful Dominican lineup that boasts All-Stars up and down the order. Second baseman Robinson Cano has been absolutely on fire for the DR in the tournament thus far, smacking 12 hits in 19 at-bats -- including two home runs and four doubles. Dominican right-hander Samuel Deduno, a middle reliever for the Twins, will try to stop "Captain America" David Wright and the rest of USA's equally high-powered offensive attack.
The winner of Thursday evening’s game will earn a spot in the semifinals, while the loser will take on Puerto Rico in an elimination match on Friday.
