Despite only having one hit to this point, the underdog-Netherlands team has taken a 1-0 lead early on versus powerhouse Dominican Republic.
World Baseball Classic: Netherlands holds early lead
Early on in the World Baseball Classic semi-final, the Netherlands are leading 1-0.

Despite the Dominican's dominance in the tournament to this point, the Cinderella story for the Netherlands continues on in the early-going here in San Francisco. With the addition of super-prospect Jurickson Profar to the Dutch team, the Netherlands get much-needed re-enforcement to go with their already talented group.
With Diegomar Markwell on the hill, the team is looking to advance to the World Baseball Classic final against the Puerto Ricans tomorrow night. The Dominican line-up has been dominant throughout the tournament, so the Netherlands will likely need to add more runs to their tally if they want to hold on.
Edinson Volquez is on the mound for the Dominicans, and is looking to hold the deficit to 1-0 in the 4th inning. The game should be close and both teams are trying to disprove the notion that they don't care about the outcomes, so it should be intense.
