But here’s the thing: even if you DO like sports -- even if you instantly recognize a myriad of logos and create the semiotic link in your head to the team they represent on a daily basis -- they’re insanely hard to recreate from memory alone.

This week is the first time we can attempt to draw either the cap logo OR an alternate logo. This will be a recurring feature from here on out. You can try your hand at either ... or both! A lot of baseball cap logos are just an assortment of letters. While it’s tricky to remember the exact shape of said letters, or where precisely they intersect, when a logo may seem too “easy” we will challenge ourselves by attempting a secondary logo.
Because we’re all about personal growth here.
This week, we've got the Chicago White Sox and their deceptively-tricky primary/cap logo. It uh ... I didn't do well at this.
So I decided to try their alternate 1980s logo! Simple, right?
Not if you’re me, apparently.
