World Baseball Classic 2013 schedule: Wednesday, March 6

With Pool B now settled -- Chinese Taipei and the Netherlands have advanced -- the two top teams in Pool A must face off to determine who gets top billing in the next round of the WBC.

Here’s the lowdown on Wednesday’s lone game:

Cuba vs. Japan: Wednesday, 7:00 p.m. local, 5:00 a.m. ET

Venue: Fukuoka Japan Dome, Fukuoka, Japan

TV: MLB Network (U.S.), ESPN Deportes (U.S.)

At last, we’ve hit the final WBC game that will probably be over by the time you wake up. The two remaining undefeated squads of Pool A, Japan and Cuba, face off to determine the top seed for Round 2. Two-time defending champs Japan, who have looked a bit shaky in their first two victories, will look to shut down a potent Cuba offense that has scored 17 runs in its first two matchups. Both teams have already qualified for the next round.
