Jayson Werth’s walk-up music is the “Game of Thrones” theme

Well, he certainly has the beard for it.

Jayson Werth is known for a lot of things -- being pretty good at baseball, a huge contract, an even larger (and sentient) beard -- but apparently, he's also a fan of HBO's "Game of Thrones." He showed Nationals fans as much in Wednesday's contest, when he came to the plate using the series' (admittedly catchy) theme song as his walk-up music:

The fans in attendance who watch the show were surprised to find out that none of the Nationals ended up naked or dead (or both!) in the hour following Werth’s walk-up tune, but maybe Washington is just saving it for a game where those tactics can be utilized to more convincingly push the story along.

Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post writes that it wasn’t just Westeros getting some love from Werth, but that he also used “Werewolves of London” and the theme from “The Walking Dead.” Steinberg also has a photoshop of Werth up that you should probably check out if you appreciate Game of Thrones, Werth, and/or #Barves humor.

Do you think Werth regrets the Sunday Night Baseball games that the Nationals have to play now, since “Game of Thrones” airs during those contests, or has his beard set his DVR to keep this from being a problem?
