The Atlanta Braves seem intent on proving to the Colorado Rockies just who is the top dog in the early going of this young MLB season.

Atlanta is on fire and Milwaukee is riding a 9-game win streak. Baseball bettors have taken notice of early wagering trends and streaks.

After a post-postponement Monday the Braves swept two games from the Rockies Tuesday by scores of 4-3 and 10-2. Atlanta and Colorado both came into this series with records of 13-5, which were the best in baseball.

With Tim Hudson slated to go against Tyler Chatwood Atlanta was an early -125 favorite for Wednesday’s game at Coors Field.
Also Wednesday the Giants with a 3-0 Madison Bumgarner were favored by -150 for a rubber match against the Diamondbacks with Ian Kennedy at AT&T Park.
The 13-7 Red Sox with 3-0 Jon Lester were favored by -155 for a rubber match against the 13-8 A’s with Brett Anderson at Fenway.
The Rays with Alex Cobb were chalked at -120 for a rubber match against the Yankees with a 3-0 Andy Pettitte down in St. Pete.
The Milwaukee Brewers, riding a nine-game winning streak, were favored by -120 as they go for the sweep over San Diego out at Petco.
And the 13-7 Rangers, with Yu Darvish, were favored by -155 for a rubber match against the Angels with rookie Michael Roth out at the Big A.
Looking ahead to Thursday the Reds and Nats begin a four-game series in DC; the Rockies and D’Backs start a four-game set in Phoenix; and the O’s and A’s begin a four-game series out in Oakland.
