The Washington Nationals received good news with the early word that Bryce Harper will be okay after a scary collision with the outfield wall on Monday night against the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to MLB.com.
Bryce Harper injury: Nationals OF likely to miss 1-2 games after wall collision
The Nationals power hitter suffered a scary collision in the outfield and left Monday’s game against the Dodgers.

Harper left the game bleeding, and the team’s slugger underwent precautionary x-rays after the game. However, Harper did not suffer a concussion from the incident and received 11 stitches in his chin after the collision, according to team officials. He’s officially listed as day-to-day.
Nationals manager Davey Johnson said he was worried about Harper’s potential head injury after the game. “The ball was curving, so it was a tough play,” Johnson said. “I was more worried when he wasn’t moving too much. I thought he had a concussion. But fortunately, he was all right.”
The 20-year-old outfielder is the heart of the Nationals line-up, so the good news comes as a relief for fans and teammates. Harper is hitting .303 with 10 home runs and 21 RBI in just 35 games so far this season.
Harper could conceivably miss the rest of the Nats' series against the Dodgers with two games left. If so, Tyler Moore is a likely replacement for Harper in left field.
