Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Gerardo Parra was pulled from Monday night's home game against the Texas Rangers with what is being called a left calf cramp, reports Steve Gilbert of MLB.com. The Diamondbacks went on to win the game 5-4, sweeping Monday's doubleheader.
Gerardo Parra exits game early with left calf cramp
The Diamondbacks outfielder didn’t make it through Monday night’s game against the Rangers.

Parra tweaked something when striking out in the fifth inning against Yu Darvish and was removed for Cody Ross immediately after his at-bat. Hopefully for the Diamondbacks this truly is just a cramp, as Parra has played very well early this season.
Parra is off to a great start for the Diamondbacks, batting .301 with an OPS of .827. He is a model example of the type of player Kirk Gibson and the Diamondbacks have been targeting, in that he is a fundamentally sound player who plays hard.
His 1.8 WAR (according to Fangraphs) places him 26th in baseball in the early going, and his defense has also played a big role in that along with his bat.
For a Diamondbacks team off to a good start to the year, they surely hope that Parra will not miss any significant time.
If Parra were to miss time, the team has capable replacements such as A.J. Pollock that could step in and do a decent job.
At the time of this being written, the Diamondbacks are trailing 4-2 in the 8th inning of their game with the Texas Rangers.
