Pablo Sandoval injury: Giants 3B has strained left foot, has MRI
San Francisco will be without part of the middle of its lineup for at least a few days, if not longer, as the third baseman will sit with a strained left foot.

The Giants' third baseman said he is unsure when he hurt his foot, per Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle. San Francisco is in St. Louis for a weekend series against the Cardinals in a rematch of the 2012 National League Championship Series, followed by an off day Monday before returning home.
Sandoval has hit .288/.328/.434 with eight home runs and 37 RBI in 2013, and had played in 53 of San Francisco's first 54 games, including 52 starts. Sandoval hit a walk-off, two-run home run on May 21 to beat the Nationals, but since those heroics was in a 5-for-30 (.167) slump.
