Nick Swisher went to The Ohio State University before the Athletics selected him in the famed Moneyball draft. It's not surprising, then, that, back in Ohio as a Cleveland Indian, he's added the O-H-I-O chant/spelling to his post-homer celebration.
Nick Swisher showing off Ohio State roots
Back in Ohio, Swisher has adopted an old chant into his already busy homer celebration.

Swisher went deep off of former teammate Bartolo Colon on Thursday, and showed off the celebration on his way back to the dugout:
The crowd isn’t quite into the response portion of this call-and-response celebration yet, but cut them some slack. It’s Cleveland, not Columbus, and it’s a day game, too.* There will be plenty more Swisher home runs over the life of his shiny new long-term contract for everyone to get on the same page.
*I say this, but then again, I also see OSU alumni and Ohio natives performing this in Boston. No disrespect intended, Cleveland!
