Yankees vs. A’s: 18 innings of fun in Oakland
That’s like two games, but in only one game. Baseball is the best.

Here are some of the highlights:
- Time of game: five hours, 35 minutes
- 14 total pitchers used
- 510 total pitches thrown
- 22 hits combined
- Some of the uglier no-hit games: 0-6 (Josh Donaldson), 0-7 (Derek Norris), 0-8 (Travis Hafner, Vernon Wells)
- Adam Rosales came in to pinch-hit and ended up finishing the game 0-4
- 26 combined runners left on base
This will be the 12th time the Yankees will play at least 18 innings in a game

Games like this can also bring out some Twitter-comedy, and Thursday’s was no exception.
Pretty sure Reggie started this game in rightfield. For Oakland.

The A’s, as they are known to do, had some fun with Freiman after the game.

We also couldn’t go a full game without getting an #umpshow (although to be fair, he did make a really good call on a close play at the plate early in the game) from C.B. Bucknor on STRIKE TWO IDIOT!!111!!11
Out of fairness, here’s the previously mentioned good call.
Oh, and the Athletics won, by the way.
