New York Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira left Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Angels with an aggravated wrist injury, and the team announced Teixeira will visit team physician Dr. Christopher Ahmad in New York on Sunday, per Meredith Marakovitz of the YES Network.

Teixeira exited the game in the fourth inning because he “doesn’t feel like he has the snap in his swing,” Yankees manager Joe Girardi told Fox during an in-game interview. Girardi also stated that Teixeira is expected to miss a few more games.
The first baseman missed most of the regular season so far with a tendon sheath issue in his wrist. Teixeira played in his first game of the season on May 31, and has hit .151/.270/.340 in his first 63 plate appearances this season.
Jose Bautista had the same injury last season, and missed most of 2012 when the issue resurfaced, Matt Synder of CBS Sports points out. So the Yankees are likely being cautious with Teixeira to make sure the first baseman doesn't lose the rest of his season as well.
David Adams replaced Teixeira at first base. Lyle Overbay will likely fill in at first base the next few games while Teixeira rests.
