The Rays and their first-round selection Nick Ciuffo have agreed to a signing bonus of $1,974,700, reports Jim Callis of Baseball America.
2013 MLB Draft: C Nick Ciuffo signs with Rays
The Rays have come to terms with their first-round pick.

The deal he signed was the exact slot-value for where he was picked, per Baseball America.
Ciuffo was one of the better catchers in the 2013 draft class, and he was widely mocked to the Rays at 21 before the draft. He had a commitment to South Carolina.
Ciuffo hit .453 for Lexington High School in South Carolina, catching each game that the team played. He hit five home runs over the course of the season. He was the 21st selection of the first round, and he was the first player selected by the Rays.
The team will announce the deal on Friday, reports Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.
