The Arizona Diamondbacks expect to activate second baseman Aaron Hill from the disabled list sometime during the upcoming week's series against the Nationals, reports AZCentral.com. That series will run from Tuesday to Thursday.
Aaron Hill injury: Diamondbacks 2B in line for Tuesday return from DL
Hill has missed most of the 2013 season with a broken hand.

Hill, 31, has missed most of the 2013 season after breaking his hand in mid-April. He started off hot this season, posting a .306/.405/.566 hitting line and was coming off the best offensive season of his career in 2012 when he hit for an .882 OPS.
Hill actually played through the broken bone for a few days after x-rays initially came back negative when he was struck by a pitch. The full extent of the injury was soon realized and Didi Gregorious was called up to take his roster spot.
Willie Bloomquist has been playing second base for Arizona after starting the season on the disabled list with an injury of his own.
