Around the Bases: Thursday’s scores and highlights

All the scores and highlights from Thursday’s action.

Duane Burleson

Rangers 2, Yankees 0: A complete-game two-hitter from Derek Holland was all the Rangers needed, and uber-prospect Jurickson Profar hit a home run as well.

Angels 3, Tigers 1: Jered Weaver allowed one run over seven innings and the Angels were able to win this one on a go-ahead double by Albert Pujols in the tenth.

Cubs 7, Brewers 2: Matt Garza struck out ten batters in seven innings. Dioner Navarro hit a home run and had three RBIs.

Diamondbacks 3, Nationals 2: Did Gregorius drove in the go-ahead run in the 11th inning with a suicide squeeze. The scrappy D-Backs live to scrap another day. See the excitement:

Mets 3, Rockies 2: Marlon Byrd continues to surprise as he hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the top of the eighth to put the Mets ahead for good.

Orioles 7, Indians 3: A five-run fifth inning sent the Orioles home with a win. They also received the good news that their second baseman Brian Roberts will be back.

Red Sox 7, Blue Jays 4: The Red Sox scored seven runs in the second inning off of [INSERT WANG JOKE HERE] and never looked back.

Twins 3, Royals 1: Sal Perez hit a home run, but that would be all the runs for KC as the Twins would win on the back of Samuel Deduno.

Dodgers 6, Phillies 4: Puig. Oh, by the way, that's a home run. Admit it, I got you on that one! Dodgers win anyway.
