A number of teams are interested in trading for Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Matt Garza, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports is reporting.
Matt Garza trade rumors: Rangers, Orioles, Giants among suitors
The market for one of the top pitcher’s available before the trade deadline is starting to shape.

The Texas Rangers, San Francisco Giants, Baltimore Orioles, San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers are all interested in acquiring the pitcher, sources have informed Heyman, with the Boston Red Sox and Toronto Blue Jays also seen as possible fits.
Garza, 29, will be a free-agent this offseason and has not shown any interest in re-signing with the Cubs, per Heyman. Chicago is not expected to contend in a deep NL Central, and would like to maximize their return for the starter in a shallow starting pitcher’s market.
The starter missed playing time earlier in the season with a side injury, but has recently returned to form, only allowing three runs over his last 22 innings. Garza looked impressive in his last start, striking out 10 Milwaukee Brewers hitters over seven innings.
