The outfielder has already battled a bruised thumb and a strained hamstring this season.

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Peter Bourjos left Saturday's game against the Houston Astros with a right wrist contusion, per Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register.

Jordan Lyles hit Bourjos in the hand with pitch in the top of the fourth inning. Trainers inspected Bourjos' hand following the incident, but the outfielder stayed in the game to run. J.B. Shuck replaced Bourjos in the field before the bottom of the fourth inning. Shuck entered the game in left field, moving Mike Trout over to center.

Bourjos has battled a number of injury issues this season. The outfielder missed 40 games in May and June with a left hamstring strain, per Mike DiGovanna of the Los Angeles Times. Bourjos also hurt his thumb sliding into second base against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday.

The outfielder has been productive in the lineup when healthy. Bourjos has hit .328/.383/.453 in 145 plate appearances, stealing four bases in four attempts.
