The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed outfielder Carl Crawford on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring, report Austin Laymance and Lyle Spencer of MLB.com.
Dodgers place Carl Crawford on DL with hamstring strain
L.A. has now lost two outfielders to hamstring injuries in the last week.

Crawford injured his leg while running out a double during Sunday’s game. The Dodgers initially hoped that the injury was a cramp, but an MRI taken after the game revealed a tear. Manager Don Mattingly said that the strain is “not major,” but the team’s medical staff felt that Crawford needed more than four or five days to recover, so a DL stint was in order.
Crawford has been dealing with hamstring tightness for much of the season, missing a couple games earlier in the season as a result. The 31-year-old joins fellow All-Star outfielder Matt Kemp, who went out with a hamstring strain last Thursday, on the sidelines.
The Dodgers recalled right-hander Stephen Fife from Triple-A to take Crawford's spot on the roster. Fife started in place of the injured Chris Capuano on Monday, throwing 5⅓ one-run innings to earn his first big-league win.
