Red Sox 6, Rangers 3: In an odd decision, Ron Washington decided to intentionally walk Dustin Pedroia to pitch to David Ortiz. One walkoff three-run home run later, he was probably feeling pretty silly about that choice.
Cardinals 12, Diamondbacks 8: Home runs from Matt Holliday, Daniel Descalso and Matt Adams led the charge as the Cardinals won this high-scoring affair. Don't forget the good performance by Shelby Miller, which included his first career home run.
Royals 7, Twins 3: Wade Davis didn't allow an earned run in this game, and the Royals lineup provided him with plenty of run support. Lorenzo Cain hit a home run, which led the way for KC.
Athletics 5, White Sox 4 (F/10): A go-ahead home run in the top of the 10th by Adam Rosales put Oakland ahead for good in this one, as the White Sox could not pull the extra innings trick for a second-straight game.
Phillies 5, Brewers 1: Tyler Cloyd did not allow an earned run in this one, and Delmon Young hit a home run as the Phillies cruised to this win over the Phillies.
Padres 6, Rockies 5 (F/12): The Padres jumped out to an early lead, but of course no lead is ever safe at Coors Field. Wilin Rosario tied things up with a two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth, but the Rockies scratched out a run on a pair of questionable calls in the top of the 12th and Brad Boxberger picked up his first career save.
Braves 0, Dodgers 5: Yasiel Puig did it again. The rookie blasted an opposite-field grand slam as Zack Greinke stifled the Atlanta offense. Puig is now batting .438/.438/.1.063 with three home runs in four major league games.
Yankees 6, Mariners 1: The Yankees did all of their scoring in the top of the third inning, touching Aaron Harang for six runs on eight hits, including home runs by Robinson Cano and Mark Teixeira.
