Twitter’s hardcore investigative journalism of slugger Chris Davis

Chris Davis is having himself a season, leading to the same old boring questions.

Chris Davis is an exceptional power hitter. He changed his swing and routine to finally tap into the power that scouts have always believed him to have, and it's turned him into an absolute monster at the plate since late last year -- Davis has 41 homers in 110 games stretching back to September 1 of 2012, and the .711 slugging percentage to show for it.

Since we live in an era where nothing could possibly be accomplished with talent and work, though, people are curious if Chris Davis is cheating, and have taken to Twitter to ask the hard-hitting questions:

Direct, and to the point. @MichiganMagic1 isn’t a reporter, but he pulled out the old Dan Shaughnessy playbook anyway, and went straight to the source to confront him. Chris Davis, to his credit, responded to this impromptu and very public query:

I’ll say this about our Twitter detective: at least he didn’t libel an entire nation with his question.
